This grade is a medium-carbon, constructional, special steel, can be nitrided to improve wear and galling resistance or surface properties. This steel does not age hardened.

Hot working:

Forging temperature range: 1200-850℃
 
Note: Heat to 1200 ℃. Do not forge below 850.
