1.4306 | S.S 304L |
1.4306 is a very low-carbon, austenitic steel. This grade has general corrosion resistance similar to that of 1.4301 but superior resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding or stress relieving. It is essentially nonmagnetic when annealed, and becomes slightly magnetic when cold worked. This grade is very ductile and can be easily cold worked by the common cold forming methods. Because it work hardens rapidly, annealing may be necessary to restore ductility and lower hardness.
