This grade is a medium high-carbon chromium-vanadium steel with medium hardenability. This grade is available as hot worked and cold finished bar, rod, and wire; bar subject to end-quench hardenability requirements; and bar that meet aircraft quality requirements

Hot working:

Forging temperature range: 1230-850℃
 
Note: Heat to 1230 ℃. Do not forge below 850.

Soft annealing ℃ HB 30-soft annealed Normalizing ℃ Hardening temperature for quenching in Water ℃ Hardening temperature for quenching in Oil ℃ Tempering temperature ℃
