1.4924 is a hardenable, martensitic, stainless steel designed for use at temperatures up to 630. It has excellent creep-rupture properties in the range of 315 to 630 and can be heat treated to various high-strength levels. It may be satisfactorily welded by the gas tungsten arc and gas metal-arc welding processes.

Hot working:
Forging temperature range: 1200-850℃
Note: Heat to 1200 ℃. Do not forge below 850.
