1.4000 X6Cr13

 

1.4000 ferritic stainless steel is a lower carbon than the grade 1.4006. Unlike the martensitic grade 1.4006 this grade is NOT hardenable. It has Good formability and High Resistance to intergranular corrosion, especially at deep drawing applications, not susceptible to stress corrosion cracking, higher heat conductivity compared to austenitic.

Hot working:

Forging temperature range: 1200-850℃

Note: Heat to 1200 ℃. Do not forge below 850.

Heat treatment:

Full annealing Normalizing. Tempering temprature
815-900 Don’t normalize 600-760
